Ten-year-old girl Sandy Brown stays with her grandmother while her archaeologist father is away on a research trip. She is given a toy koala, only to discover that when she noozles her nose against it, it transforms in a real koala, Blinky, a refugee from Koalawalla Land. On the run from a kangaroo court, Blinky has come to Earth to hide, his only possession a magical watch that can stop time.
