One day, a completely average high school boy named Kagurazaka Kimito is kidnapped to attend an elite young lady's academy, the Seikain Girls' School , to be a sample of a commoner . Due to a misunderstanding, the school's president is under the impression that Kimito is only interested in men. When Kimito tries to inform her that the opposite is true, he quickly is made aware of the dire consequences such an admission would lead to. And since Kimito's parents apparently OK'ed the matter of changing schools, he has no choice but to play along, feigning disinterest in girls. Kimito soon learns that the overly protected life of these female students from wealthy families has led them to develop quite bizarre misconceptions of how commoners live. Together with the energetic, yet naive Tenkuubashi Aika he founds the Commoner Club that steadily gains new and unlikely members: be it the shy genius Shiodome Hakua , the katana-swinging tsundere Jinryou Karen , or the polite ojou Arisugawa Reiko .
