Ryu Urashima , a 16-year-old boy encounters a time slip and is transported into a future world, completely losing his memory and even forgetting his own name, in the process. Ryu becomes a police detective in the future world and begins his new life with his cynical colleague, Claude Mizunuma . Though bewildered by the new surroundings, Ryu challenges himself with his new job to beat the evil called Necrime Empire . Claude, an elite detective, helps Ryu although he trifles with him for his lack of knowledge about this world. However, Ryu's formidable fighting spirit helps him to adjust to the new circumstance, gradually becoming a competent cop, even surprising Claude now and then.
